Blade,

That exact gasket was the reason for the first/maybe second recall of the PT Cruiser. Supposedly it leaked if the cruiser turned upside down in an accident. A bunch of us were called in to have a new gasket put in and for a "tie-wrap" to be put on the fuel line in the engine compartment so the line wouldn't rub on the air-conditioning line and cause a fire. It only takes about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes for a competent mechanic to put a new gasket on. Some were told they had to pay for the extra time spent (even though it was a free recall) if they had dual exhaust put on as it would take a lot longer to drop the tank to install the gasket.
