You can do a dawn wash first and inspect your paint. Correct any defects (swirl marks, etc. if any). Some have used NXT over their current waxes without a problem. Shake the NXT bottle well and then apply a thin coat of NXT over your entire car. It takes about 15-20 minutes (or longer) before you can buff it off. So by the time you finish applying NXT over your entire car, you should be able to start buffing the NXT off where you 1st started. Just swip your finger over the NXT and if it smears it is not ready to be buffed off. Some have left it on overnite and noted NO increase in buffing effort to remove. If you want to add another layer of NXT, wait 24 hours before applying another coat of NXT.
Some people have experienced some hazing from using NXT. That was attributed to using too much of the product during the application process. Can use distilled water or a Quick Detailer to remove any hazing.
