If I understand your question, you want to know if you can put a 225/50-18 on the front of your PT with Eiback springs.

The 225/50-18 is approximately .4" greater sidewall height and a .5" greater wheel rim to center of hub which together would raise the front of the car .9". However, it will also change the effective gearing by 7.13% since you have a greater rolling diameter with the 225/50-18 than with the 205/50-17. 225/45-18's would be 3.6% greater and have the same sidewall height as the 205/50-17 but you would still have the .5" greater rim to center of hub measurement so the front end would be .5" greater. A 225/40-18 would have virtually the same rolling radius as the 205/50-17 since the sidewall would be .5" less to compensate for the .5" increase in rim to center of hub dimension. Not sure about the clearance issues.
