"Our Stalker radar gun verified just how strong the PT felt. At California Speedway's drag strip, it clicked off a 7.2-second 0-60 run 0.4 and 0.5 sec. quicker in this contest than the New Beetle and Mini, respectively. The PT held on to its advantage through the quarter-mile, its 15.7-sec. posting edging the Beetle's (15.8) and Mini's (15.9). Yet a scan of the data panel reveals the Mini has a slightly higher trap speed than the Chrysler (89.3 mph, versus 88.9), and reaches 100 mph slightly quicker."
