"If" is the key. All of our mods need to be stealth like in their implentation. At the most if there are no visual signs, then its just a "sensor failure," problem. If that happens replacing the PCM should take only 15 min at best. But I'm in agreement with you on this, I guess we can "look" forward to the challenge.
