When I installed the Champion double platinums last week, I gapped my plugs at .045" with nothing but good results. The only problem I ran into was the Screamin Demon coil. The #2 coil failed and caused cylinders #1 and #2 to be cut out. My PT sounded like a crappy motor boat. Sent the coil back to performance distributors in Memphis, TN for analysis, and threw a stock coil back on.
Are you sure you have the wires all the way on and there is no cross over causing the clicking noise?
