Greetings all,

I'm new here too, and have a question about lowering the rear of our '01 Limited. I'm not looking for a big slam, or a bone-jarring ride (I have another car for that so wonder if anyone has simply removed their stock rear springs and cut them a bit?
This should raise the spring rate marginally, but not to the point that the ride would degrade significantly and the shocks would become overwhelmed.......do you think?
Also (and best of all), it would be a free tweak.
I suppose that the best way to do this would be to try it on an extra set of used stock springs, so in case it all goes horribly wrong I could default back to stock and get to work on Monday! [8)]
I've just bought some 17" wheels, and the car really cries out for a reduction in forward rake and to show a bit less of the top of the rear tires []

TIA,
Brian
