Changing the plugs and wires made a huge difference in both drivability and fuel usage. Socket sizes are documented in the pictures. Once you raise the intake runners, everything is a breeze. The PT owners manual (for 2003 non-turbo, schedual-B) indicates that the plugs should be changed at 30,000 miles, the cheap factory wires should find their way to the bottom of your trash can at the same time. IMHO.
