SakiGT,

My sister-in-law had the same issue with her Neon. It was her plugs and wires. Doesn't rule out the coil though...

Crazy thing though, her Neon lost almost like 90% of its power and backfired like mad but NO CODES WERE THROWN!! (No CEL or ignition key/odometer codes)

Plugs and wires are cheap, and if you are still under 36,000 miles, they should be a warranty item.
