Jack, this is a true story. My wife insists on putting her purse on the console between the driver and passenger seat whenever she drives her car. I always tell her that she should NOT do this, and like most wives, they don't listen. The dye in the black purse transfered into the leather console. I tried every product I have plus I went to an interior shop. Nothing can get it out. Since I can't see you leather, I can't tell you what it is. If it just showed up, (unlike my wife's case which took some time to occur) I think it can be removed.
Using the less is best mentality, and you used Lexol, go with an all purpose cleaner and a NEW toothbrush. If that doesn't work, try a solvent based cleaner, use a small amount and don't run too hard. Too much solvent can bleed the color dye out of the leather. I can get you some solvent cleaner if you want some, let me know via private message on my web site. Gary
