Well I figured out what the source of this is.

About two months ago, I purchased some new clothes for work, and among them was a nice thick DARK BLACK SHINY LEATHER BELT, sold under the Levi's name (their tag and their logo stamped into it).
Where my belt is worn, it lines up perfectly with where this is on the seat, and I can only surmise that this is the dye and oil from the new belt rubbing into the orange leather. I'm going to try and contact Levi's in what may be a futile attempt to find out what the hell to use ot get this crap out of my car.

Anywho, just a word of caution on stuff like this. You fellow Dreamers may want to watch out.
