Cartex, I will talk about my paint sealant in reference to your question, because they differ. My sealant contains amino functional resins, also polymers (which comes from the greek word poly=Many and mers= units.) Man made synthetics have pioneered the industry's modern day Paint sealants. Some vary in terms of the amount of solvents in them. MIne has around 2%, others much more. A small amount of solvents is beneficial while too much will reduce the life of the protective barrier. Auto Glaze is simply another name for polish. NO Protection. Here is an example of how the industry is mis using its own definition of professional terms. "NU-Finish, Once a year car polish" This product advertises the same way I posted. The true sense of the term "polish" means to remove fine surface scratches and imperfections, while restoring the shine. POlish offers No protection. So how does this product last a year if by the true definition it has NO protective properties? Maybe by Immaculate Conception.[:I]
