More info on the Brampton plant below. If anyone is interested, we can get a group tour through that facility. (have to wait a bit though while they retool for the NEW 300c, and I think, the Dodge Magnum)

Brampton Satellite Stamping Plant

Location: 2000 Williams Parkway, Brampton, Ontario, Canada LGT 4Y6

Floor Space: 230,000 Square Feet

Products: 72 Outer body stampings: Doors, hoods, decklids, quarter panels, and roofs

Production: 230 Tons of steel daily. 32,000 Stampings daily, two shifts.

Equipment: 5 Automatic transfer presses, 1 blanking line, 61 Die sets (4-minute die changes)

Employment: Included in Assembly Plant total listed above

Material Handling: Automatic guided vehicles (AGVs) deliver blanks to press lines.

Storage: Automatic sheet metal storage and retrieval system. 2,300 Storage containers.

Plant History: Satellite stamping facility was completed and production started in December 1991.BR>
