Default WTT 04 PT, GT, DC3 (2-Tone), 5 Speed, 32K Miles

I'm new to the forum and new to PT Cruisers

I bought my PT, GT, Dream Cruiser Series 3 just over a week ago and I'm in a delima

This is a car that I bought for my 18 year old son (in college & schooling to become a fireman) who kept leaving me all kinda hints about liking PT Cruisers, but he failed to make it clear that he only wanted an AUTOMATIC?????

I loved the look of the 04 DC3, low miles, aftermarket cat back exhaust, all the bells & whistles, and thought he would like the few extra mpg from a stick

He loves the car, hates the 5 speed

Granted I have 5 other cars at home but only the Audi TT convertible is a manual tranny and all the rest are automatics

I taught him how to drive a stick with my Callaway Twin Turbo Corvette and while he was a little slow on clutch release at times he did alright

So, who wants to trade an AUTOMATIC PT, GT with similar miles and options for my DC3 5 speed ($13,000 value)?

I'm in SoCal (Orange, CA)

I told him to learn to drive the car and stop his whining. As a teenager I was happy to have ANY car, much less having the balls to say I really would like it "if only it had an AUTOMATIC"

HELP

Angry Re: WTT 04 PT, GT, DC3 (2-Tone), 5 Speed, 32K Miles

Hmmmmmmmm!

Current photo's are on Sytech Gallery

I thought most everyone would want the 5 speed over the automatic

Other features on my PT are:

All tires at 80% or better

Front brakes just redone

Back brakes about 70%

Painted brake calipers

6 disc CD changer

Cruise

Heated Seats

New K&N drop in filter

New iridium plugs and 10.5 mm wires ordered (awaiting shipment)

No leaks

No problems with clutch or gears

Just did a 290 mile trip into Mexico and back with 4 adults and luggage (23.5 mpg

Just did a 780 mile trip to Phoenix and back with 2 adults and luggage (24.5 mpg average)

I love the car for what it is. I'm not going to try to mod it for the dragstrip, or the autocross course

If I want dragstrip turbo power, I drive my 625 hp Buick Grand National (V-6 with a great big GTQ-76 Turbo, 75 lb injectors, methanol injection, aluminum heads, roller rockers, steel crank - 10.72 seconds at 126 mph in the 1/4 mile, 6.66 seconds at 106 mph in the 1/8 mile - daily driven street car)

Or if I want autocross handling & power I drive the Audi TT AWD Turbo

Am I out of line looking for a trade?

Or do I just suck it up, take a loss, and trade it in for an AUTOMATIC???

Car has been sold

Got $9800.00 for trade in

Traded it in on a 2008 Jeep Compass Rallye Edition, AUTOMATIC

Wife liked the Compass so much that she took the Jeep and gave the Scion Xb to our ungrateful (non-5 speed driving) son

The PT was an incredible car for the price

Good luck and safe driving to you all
