Default Tethered Gas Cap Hook.

I designed and am selling a bracket that is used for holding your tethered gas cap when you add an aftermarket gas door to your PT.

Just remove the backing from the double sided tape on the areas shown. Locate it just below the hinge location on your new gas door, making sure it clears the rubber stops on the outer frame of the gas door, when closed (shown in pic.).
Attach the OEM tether to the inside hole. THAT'S IT! You gotta way to keep you gas cap off of your paint.

I'm asking $6 shipped, to cover time and materials,

P.M. me if you are interested, Thanks

I'm still liking the the Stant touchless gas cap, but that's a great solution you have there. And six $6 is dirt cheap.

Cool Re: Tethered Gas Cap Hook.

A great idea to have a "better one " than the OEM clip, of course.
But, I find that if I just slow down and hang it carefully, I do not have it fall off onto the body, "as is".

Yes I understand where you are coming from. I had to do the balancing act with my original OEM door, as it had no hangar at all.

When I went to my OEM chromie, it had a hook, but was a bit small, and you had to carefully hang it on.

When I went to this aftermarket "way cooler" chromie, it had NO provision at all, so this is my fix for the persons not wanting hold on to their cap, put it on the roof and scratch paint, or as some people are afraid to admit, leave it on the gas pump and drive off.

Doesn't this seem a bit safer/easier, as opposed to attempting a fill up during a heavy storm, and trying to balance the cap on the pump handle or gas door.

Lightbulb Re: Tethered Gas Cap Hook.

...Glad you took my advice, and decided to start selling those
To cover all bases IMHO...You should probably put them on PTCrew(alot of Billet G/Cs there),PTCruiserNetwork,TurboDodge(because they'll work with Neons, and also 300s,Chargers,Magnums,and even Ram P/U),Etc.....Oh,and of course Ebay!

Chrysler LX's are out, rectangle door. gotta check Neons yet. Ram is a good prospect, they are round :-)
