Default Micro soft Front Page

My web master told me to buy this when he was putting together my web site. since he used a different format, I have no use for Front Page now. I paid $154.00, if anyone wants it let me know. www.perfectautofinish.com Gary

You should give your web master a nice water-and-sand mixture for polishing his car with. Any webmaster worth his salt wouldn't recommend someone actually use FrontPage to build their site with.

Don't get me wrong, it's great for tinkering around with, and I am showing my wife how to use it now to set up a website for her freelance career, but it would be like a mechanic recommending using toilet paper instead of an air filter...it might work, but it's sloppy and a poor solution.

FrontPage has its uses, don't get me wrong. I just don't know anyone who would use it professionally to design websites.

It is a great program to start but in a month you will have outgrown it and will be looking for the $400.00 one (Dreamweaver).

How much do you want for it? I need to begin educating myself in this. Disregard, I already have it within my MS Office2000

I use FrontPage very often. FrontPage is fine if you know how to work with it. If you are using primarily HTML code, it isn't that much different than any other program. I use Adobe Photoshop to create layers and templates, and FrontPage works great for importing these for editing. Dreamweaver is a step above FrontPage, but there is nothing wrong with FrontPage, especially for a beginner. I created my personal website using FrontPage and Adobe, and personally I don't see anything wrong with that.

There is definitely a use for it, and you shouldn't use it as a frisbie, becuase it's not a sloppy and poor solution. Try putting it on eBay... not everyone is looking for something 'more advanced'.
