Thanks, Papaw! It is a neat ride, but then so is the PT. Wish we could keep them both!

Great car. When the Magnum was first introduced, the first thought I had was "Chevy waited too long to come out with a new Nomad wagon".
You can still keep your nick as "Wagonmaster". [^] |

2step,
Besides the Magnum, I have a '55 Chevy Wagon too. In addition, in my job we maintain about 1900 vehicles over 900 of which are school buses, AKA: Wagons. So, Wagonmaster fits almost, no matter what! Wanna buy a PT GT? Joe

Most of us have all the Cruiser we can use at the moment.
This GT looks super clean with tasteful mods. This could be a good way to go for those thinking to slap a turbo kit on a base PT. Sell off your low output N/A and step up to something with power and a WARRANTY. At least contact the guy and talk to him. |

Wagonmaster--I really like you're new ride. How does the performance of the Magnum compare to the PT GT?

Purplept,
The Hemi Magnum is significantly stronger throughout the entire range. The only "weak" part, if you could call it that, is the take off with it's pitiful 2.82 rear gears! Many guys are running mid to low 14's with their bone stock Magnums, but if they had even 3.73 gears, they'd be 13 second performers, easily. The PT/GT has that nice burst as it gets on the boost and really pulls well, but this car will easily outrun it, and our PT isn't weak! When the boost is spooled up all the way and the acceleration "flattens out" on the PT/GT, the Magnum just keeps on pulling and even pulls harder! My wife calls it "leashed power" because it's easy to control and ultra smooth. One of the best parts is it gets better fuel economy, especially on the highway and doesn't need Premium fuel, 89 suits it fine.[8)] Wish I'd traded the PT, since the market appears to be rather weak on them, now. Only had two calls and it has been advertised well. Thanks for the good words. Joe
