I know your ad say's you want a locking door but you should be able to get a locking cap at the part's store pretty cheap.

would it be better to use the Mopar Oem locking gas cap or one from advance. The Mopar one is $5 more, but if it has a better fit it would be worth it, but if not i just save the $5. I want the one thats going to work better

Mopar

Advance's

I believe you can spend just a tad bit more and get one keyed to your vehicle (through Mopar of course). I have one on my Jeep. Worth it to me not to have yet another key on my keychain.

i've heard stories of the aftermarket locking caps causing problems, like setting off the engine light.

If the price is that close I would go with the Mopar cap.

The dealer installed a MOPAR cap when my '05 was new. I started getting the "engine check" light after a couple of months, so the dealer replaced the fuel tank under warranty with no success - the light kept coming on. I then tried the aftermarket cap. It worked for about three months, then the light came back on. I went back to the original non-locking cap about 4 years ago. No engine check light since.

I, too would like to find a locking door - I'm not fond of the chrome doors, but that would be OK if it has a lock on it.
