Default WTB 4-2-1 Header

I dont know if any one has one or had one or knows where I can find one or if you can build one but I would very much like one.
I can buy a test pipe and a old stock exhaust manifold so the new one can be that long and I will take care of a cat and the rest of the exhaust from there.
It is for a 2002 NA base cruiser.

Been there, done that on my '01. Big waste of money, especially when my JBA header developed microfractures and I had to put the stock header back on. I didn't notice anything different when I went back to stock. Also, every aftermarket header out there for the PT develops microfractures. The PT 2.4L engine is a poor platform for making more power. That's why I went to the turbo model. Now there's a great place to start to make lots of power.

Thats why I am not looking for a JBA header it has the 4-1 header design and those headers are really good for high RPM applications.

I think Hedman was the only company to make the 4-2-1 header and they stopped making it a while back. It is far better for the PT than the 4-1 design that all the others are. Like you said the 4-1 aids in top end power which is of no real help in the PT. The 4-2-1 aids in low rpm torque which is a big help in the PT.
Good luck in your search.

Besides microfractures the Hedman header was also known for warpage.

I have found a pacesetter header that will fit and suppossedly doesnt have any issues but I would pitch in 150 for that new header. Let me know more if you find out more.
Will a 95- 99 Dodge Neon header fit on a 2002 PT ?

It would take ALL of us pitching in 150 to afford that puppy.
Burns Stainless is high test, and that header is a work of art.
I'd guess it's prolly $3000 or more

IDK if the Neon header would fit. Seems it would-
Ports are slightly different, PT is rectangular and Neon et al are oval.
Neons have less exhaust studs.

I'd guess distances from exhaust ports to firewall tunnel and K-member steering rack would be similar.

Found one guy that sells neon headers and asked him about it and he said they wont fit the PT's. I am still checking around for some other ones though.

from what I have personally seen hedman was the only one to create a 4-2-1design

also from what I have seen borla and hedman are the only companies that ever got their products CARB/smog legal/exempt.

unfortuntely they both don't make those headers anymore.

other companies that I have heard that made headers for the pt cruiser included obviously JBA, edelbrock, and pacesetter

also from what I have read of certain reviews every company has people who have had bad and people who have had good experiences with all headers mentioned above.
