Trying to figure out if you're busting his chops or being a horses arse....

Anyway, they aren't very expensive, and except for the one bolt on the lower back side, they are pretty easy to install. I laid under my PT for about an hour tightening that last bolt as there just isn't any room to move it, so it's about an 8th of a turn and you just have to be calm and take your time. Don't lose your temper while trying to get that bolt in place, just take your time. Also, pre-fit it at least three times! You need to mark the pieces so that you line them all up correctly. If you search through these forums you will find many posts about people losing boost, leaking boost, lack of vacuum, etc., because they messed up the install of a BOV.

Here's a shot after I installed mine:

Totally busting his chops...

I had one on our SRT-4 and loved it.. Put it on myself, no leaks and no problems.

How does it sound with an atx transmission?? Anybody know?

Chromenut, do you remember what size the bolts are? I wonder if space is an issue, those new wrenches that ratchet would they work? How can the gasket slip if you have the bolts in it? Is this because of the angle of the dangle?

My useless post tells you that you are wasting your money for something that doesn't do anything but make noise. It was useless on your srt and it'll be useless on your automatic PT of which you'll barely be able to hear it because it is an automatic. So smart guy, go ahead and spend your money for something you won't hardly be able to hear.

Doyle, what he fails to mention is that the BOV actually DOES serve a purpose, and it's use can help extend the life of your turbo. I've been working on turbos now for many, many years, just turned 50 last Halloween and had a big turbo party at my house. What the BOV does is expel excess boost to the atmosphere. Without it, the systems 'tries' to eat the boost via recycling it back into the turbo inlet. Sure it makes some noise, and all in all it really doesn't do a lot for you. There are no gains in hp, no gains I know of, other than the possibility of extending the life of your turbo by not forcing it to eat excess boost.

Here's a video of mine where you can hear the Mopar BOV, mind you, it's not an automatic so I don't know what kind of sounds you'll hear:

This was shot with my camera strapped to the 3-bar tube grill and hanging down about 6" off the ground...
