Angry Seeking P4510263 Hurst Shifter

I have seaerched high and low for a Hurst shifter (P4510263) for my RT66 edition 2006 PT Cruiser. I bought this new in 2006 and has 40K on the clock and I always disliked the shifter and now that I decided to change it, seems none are available. Can anyone help me out???

I'm not sure if this is a good price or not, but this is a reputable Chrysler and Mopar dealer near Detroit, Michigan.

They are available from your local Chrysler dealer. I doubt very much if any of them "stock" them, but they can normally have something like that in around two, maybe three days.

I just did a quick search and found this. The NA and turbo have differant part numbers and if I remember correctly there are some minor changes that have to be done to make them interchange.

The turbo part number is ---- P4510486

The NA part number is ------ P4510263

Try Gunslinger Automotive Products in Foster ,KY. Jason makes a number of pistol grip shifters for different applications with short throw features . Here's one in my ACR Neon .

The difference between the Hurst and the Maddog are a few:

Maddog 50% or more reduction
Hurst 30% reduction, so is barely noticeable.

Maddog is a stock modified shifter and will no brake the cables.
Hust is known to break cables end links.

Maddog cost half the price of the Hurst.

So if you want a mild shifter, go with the Hurst ...if you want a more aggressive shifter, get the Maddog.

BTW, everybody that uses the Hurst shifter loves my 50% reduction Maddog.
