Default 03 pt turbo cylinder head

I just found out my head was cracked so I need to find another one.
The casting number on mine is 04667086AC-J
I am hoping someone has a spare one lying around. I would like to find one in/close to Ohio

I'll sell you mine for $2,000. Of course, it comes with the rest of the car too.

Only the memories, back then the brothers Matesich had 68 Dart 383 4 spd,
70 340 4spd Cuda, and my 70 340 Dart Swinger 4spd. I used to leave my buddy off at his house and he could tell I got home a over a quarter mile away
when I down shifted to turn into the road I lived on. Stock Mufflers too.

Just curious for those that know for certain, are the 03-05 turbo heads identical?
Also, will the Neon SRT-4 turbo heads interchange without modification?

The best practice is to simply match up any and all parts before unseeing and installing them.

Although the Turbo 2.4 engine was used on a few Chrysler and other none Chrysler platforms there is no one answer that is absolute!

I've had the opportunity to closely examine two 2004 Turbo Lite heads, one 2004 GT head and my own 2005 GT Head. I especially looked for any differences. All were the same and had the same numbers. Also, both reports on the forums like this and salvage yard parts guides indicate the turbo PT heads are mostly interchangeable. Though forum reports indicate the Neon SRT4 heads are also the same, I haven't looked at actual examples or parts guides.

To me, this provides a likelihood that the PT turbo heads are the same. However, it's obvious that any used part off any two cars might be different. Most folks already know this. So if it was me, I would make sure the salvage yard guide says they are the same, assure the salvage yard would take it back if I found it wasn't the same, and then I'd compare the old one with the new one very closely before I installed it. I do the same with any critical engine component.

PS: If did find any small differences in the head, I might contact forum member, UptownSport. That guy is a wealth of information on the 2.4L heads and he still answers PM's even though he doesn't visit here much anymore.

^^^^ hey bud ^^^ Not the 2.4 Turbo head PT Cruiser with Ted aka uptownsport but Neon heads

Mike aka ** ThumperPerfromance and myself already went this route a couple years ago with him.
We also have performed so to say Anatomy Dissection of the 2.4 Turbo head PT Cruiser by cutting at least 3, 2.4 Turbo heads apart in sections to examine the casting core, port configuration, cylinder dome thickness, etc., more then just a simple examination of a head!

**Although you will not get anything more then what I already posted previously in this thread I would recommend to contact him for the "performance" angle of information concerning the 2.4 Turbo head.

As for auto recyclers or auto junk yards...
Auto salvage yards are not and have NEVER been a good source for parts interchange or absolute part application match up.

Most of them use the same or similar parts application programs from companies that major auto parts chains use. The description in the operating programs comes with a caution that the information is to the best of their knowledge and empirical. That's is why so many often get the wrong parts when you go to an auto parts store even with all the vehicles information.

Place to contact that may actually give better understanding then what is being reported on this thread?

BTW There is a "master list" from a source for auto engine and auto head machine shops of head cores casting numbers with information of many aspects of the heads and the surprising thing is the listing for the 2.4 heads is pretty long.

Are you near Dayton? A few years ago, did you part out an 01 5-speed cruiser? If so, I got all my transmission swap parts from you...
