I did a thorough search a few months ago. Best as I can tell, no one is making them anymore.

The best bet is to find a used one or possibly a vendor with some left over stock. But be careful. If you find a one new still listed online, be sure and call before ordering. Most still offered on performance websites are no longer available. They just haven't updated their websites.

PT Cruiser strut bars show up for sale here on this forum about once every two months or so. If you watch, one will eventually come up for sale. Many people remove them when they sell their PT Cruisers.

As far as making one yourself, it will be a little difficult without a pattern to follow. Each side is a different length and different angle. I had considered trying to make one from this brace made for the Dodge Neon:

2000 2005 Dodge Neon JDM Blue Upper Rear Strut Body Frame Stiff Brace Bar Tower | eBay

But instead, I was able to trade some parts with another forum member for a PT Cruiser "Freedom Design" strut bar about two months ago.

If you have access to a muffler shop with a hydraulic tubing bender you can easily make a simple cosmetic version of a strut bar.

Keep in mind that if you use the conventional strut bar configuration that were available and the most common retail manufactured designs of a 2 point top strut tower mount style there will be NO real advantage to it. But they do look "RACE" when you open the hood.

Hello again!

I dont want a Race look.........

My GT Convertible shake all body when i take a rough road or potholes (sacude toda la carrocera cuando cojo una carretera con el asfalto en mal estado o con baches) Sorry, perhaps I dont explain it weel in English and any one can translate me..

So I though a strut brace can correct body shake. But Im not sure. Im not mechanical. And mechanicals in Spain cant give me a solution.

Best regards

The strut braces that were made and sold for PT Cruisers will not help your problem!
