Default 2006 engine harness needed.

My sister's engine harness got chewed up by a rat, while it sat unused for four months. If anyone knows of a non turbo automatic that has harness number 4795672ac,or ab, I need a used one soon. Or if anyone knows where a new harness can be found, I would be interested. Any wrecked '06s around?

Thanks for the link. I did see a few on eBay. I live 800 miles away from my sister, and I would be worried that one listed for many years won't be the correct part. It seems they change some parts every year. Does anyone know if any year will work?

His quote about m any years is wrong...that's why I posted the whole thing above.
It was pulled from a 2006.

Here is a brand new one if you want to spend that much.

Welcome to the forum

I, myself, would opt for the new harness over an old used one, especially with the Gen2 and the CANbus system, which is quirky enough by itself. If it was just one section that you needed, then maybe get a donor from a salvage yard vehicle. But I wouldn't really want to trust a used one, especially with all the time involved to switch out the entire harness, and then to have it possibly fail, no thank you.

A while back, I thought my PT would need a section of the harness, and the only way to get that section would be a complete harness. The price I got from a dealership for a MOPAR harness was $582, but they are no longer available through Chrysler. I then called another shop and they can get an after-market complete harness for $1363 and it takes 5-7 days. So for the seller on Ebay to list a MOPAR one at $371.04 for new, IMO is a very good price, because it would be the complete harness with all the connectors to all of the various sensors.

At less than $400, I might consider getting a complete harness as they have 10 available. Might even try making them an offer and see if they accept it.

The only thing I might be concerned about is, that when I called the dealership, they told me that the correct and most current part number, before being discontinued, for the complete harness for my PT, which is the same that you have, would be MOPAR 4795672AC, and the one on Ebay is 4795671AC. May not be much change, but you don't know for sure what did change.

I think the new one on eBay is a good price, but I think it for a manual transmission. I would not mind a used one as long as it can be confirmed to be the proper part number. Also a used one would not have any cut off connectors. Thanks for the help in finding this part. I need to get it done before New Years, my niece needs this car for college next year. It's a low mile car that my mother gave to them a couple of years ago with only 16k miles.

Using this website, the harness on Ebay is for the manual transmission PT.

That eBay harness is the correct one but it looks a little tattered. I was hoping to find a really nice used or a new one since the car is barely used. It was garaged since new. I may have to buy this one if a better one doesn't turn up soon. Thanks guys for taking the time to help.

Thanks JoeX, if you have the harness to sell that would be great. I'll send you a Christmas gift, I think I have a factory service manual for your '65 coronet kickin' around here.
