Hi Gary, what's the best way to keep my headliner clean. On my Avenger I had streaks that developed in the headliner above and behind the windows from sucking in normal road grime after the first year or two. I know headliners can be sensitive to rubbing and can detach from the roof if you're not careful. I've been carefully vacuuming it with a soft brush attachment on the vacuum every month or so but is there a better and saver way?
Thanks for all your advise. My PT and I appreciate the help. |

Hill, correct, headliners are extremely sensative to any type of chemicals. Thats why like in all your detailing techniqes you use the "less is best" approach. First thing I would get is a horse hair brush (sold at any janitorial supply store) then use a light consentration of simple green, I say light, cut it 3 times what they recommend. If you are buying it ready to use, pour half out and fill with water. spray the brush lightly and gently go over the liner. Some people use scotch guard but I have not tried that so I can't support that procedure. As long as you use common sense and use the spray lightly along with the brush you will be fine. Make sure you do the entire liner the same way so color changes blend in. Gary
