First thing I do is clean under the hood with an all purpose cleaner and shop rags. Then I use a cleaner wax(Only place I ever use a cleaner wax)Next I cover the wires as much as possilbe, computer box, and electrical components with plastic. Then I use elbow muscle lots of shop rags and all purpose cleaner. If need be I get some gunk for stubborn areas. I light rinse with a hose then my big secret for the shine is I use my Ultimate Dressing. That what brings it to life. Gary

Good job! I've done similar...gives you a great feeling of satisfaction. Checked out your site(I'm a newbie here). Always wanted to be a pro detailer, lots of competition out here(Phoenix). Will try your tip re;glass cleaning solution.
Got a question...my PT "dribbles" washer fluid onto the hood without being used(assume it is the heat expansion forcing a overfull bottle to burp). Any possibility of damage to my finish? and what would you use to clean off ?

Use my paint cleaner and sealant that will remove the windsheild fluid, than the sealant will protect from future harm. GARY

Don't have time to do the search but in the past it has been brought up that a "check valve" is needed or to be replaced.
