Default WAX - how long does it really last???

Gary,

i know this has been brought up before, but i had another discussion with a friend on the weekend about wax vs sealants....

he just bought some expensive meguiar's wax:

http://www.meguiars.com/whatsnew/nxt...cfm?SKU=G12718

so first i have no idea what ESP technology is, but i'm afraid.
2nd, why doesn't it say how often it should be applied???

i think you've said waxes last acouple weeks at a time? 3-4? and that sealents last acouple months...
or is there a way to test it? feel it? how do you know when your wax needs to be reapplied?

i need a spray like they have on csi so i can spray my car and it'll illuminate the bare patches!!!!!

HEY RASH GIRL WHERE YA BEEN!!!!!!!!!! Good to hear from you. Let me suggest you look into www.gurureports.org it is a panel of experts that test and post non bias feedback based on the following criteria. Things like the Gloss/Depth/Clarity/Slickness/Reflectivity (these guys don't watch monday night football)Color enhancement/Amount of beads/ Bead size/Shine ( I doubt they have a life either)Overall impression/durability/ease of use/ ease of application/ Performance/ anway I think you get the picture. One overall comment they agree on and I will quote "Without a doubt the synthetic products ruled this test, especially in the durablity department"
People that know me also know I'm a huge fan of synthetics. They will last 6 times longer than any wax. which as you said only lasts a month. No matter how much you spend on it. The Meguiars product is an attempt to promote something different than what they already have and to compete in the new world of polymers. I will tell you this. My sealant will out last/ out perform any "Boutique or retail product around. Reason is simple. A company like Meguiars HAS too tell you all of their products are great. while in reality no one company makes a full ine of products that are great , but many reputable companies make a handful of products that stand out, and that is my job to find them, The small line of products I sell are a result of years of searching for the best. I could talk about this for hours but I won't bore you to death. Try something on my web site. YOu will blow the doors off your friends car right away. Hit me on my web site for more info. or help. Peace out. Gary[?][^]
