Default Undercoat my '05 PTGT?

Should I be undercoating my 2 month old '05 PTGT? I'm a Canuck that lives in Ontario, so we get the ymmy salt.

Some say undercoating is good as long as it's applied right. Others say no it's bad no matter how it's applied.

If it is good. What is the better method of getting it done, proffesionly or yourself? Also what type is better, the rubberized stuff or oil/wax mix?

I want to keep my PT as long as I can. Especially since it's my only my second vehicle. Even more so because it's my first new one.

Thanks for any info guys.

Get a good look under the car, and it's pretty well coated. Sure, there are some bolts here and there uncoated, but body panels are quite well protected.
You just miss the smell of undercoating, don't you....

Like Don says, take a look under there, moderns cars are now coming from the factory with more undercoating than years ago. One thing I did was I put rubberized paint in my wheel wells, much eaiser to keep clean. Gary

Is there a particular brand rubberized paint that is good to use? Something that is easily available over here in Canada?

How do you usually prep the wheel wells? A good pressure wash and scrub with detergent?

Go to a local body shop and they will point you in the right direction.
