Default White paint over spray on black

I have an 05 PT convert that I use daily back and forth to work. I work in the truck body industry where there is alot of painting done. The exhuast fans for the booths are vented through the roof of the building, so if the filters are not changed on a regular basis, a fine mist of white overspray settles on everyones car. It is not heavy but you can feel it on the surface when I wash it, and if you look real close you can see the fine specks on the paint. What can I do to remove this without color sanding and buffing? Maybe a clay bar?

Yup. Just keep the claybar wet and rub fast without a lot of pressure. I suggest trying DuPont Car Polish with Teflon - nothing sticks to it, and will make getting the flecks off easier the next time..

Hey, thanks for the input. I'll try it. And thanks for being the first to respond to my first post. Really great forums with good info.

Tiger, for tips on claying go to my web site, I also sell the clay there, try my paint sealant, read the reviews on it, and no offense Don, Teflon is useless is car care products, what you need are amin-functional resins for the sealant to cure and create a bond. Gary

I and others happen to think that the new Dupont products are great. It doesn't really matter if the Teflon mentioning is a marketing thing. This stuff works fantastic as QSD says and is locally available at a very good price. There new product lines are just great.

I was just quoting what DuPont published in Professional Car Washing and Detailing Magazine. I always tell people if you like what you are using stick with it, I just offer better solutions for people confused about the amount of products out there. Here is a secret, one of my product line IS Dupont. I sell it cheaper than you can buy it for becuase I buy in bulk. They make a few products that are high quality , those are the ones I sell. Since I do all the research, you guys are the ones that benefit. Gary

Just my two cents, CORN STARCH! Use with a buffer and the overspray comes off no problem. Also, I used it for years on my Black painted cars to remove swirls. []Then theres the corn starch massage, . . . butt thats another forum..
