Default clay bar question

when using a clay bar is there any special way you have to go?? is it up & down?? or left to right ??[:I]

There is no particuar motion to use it as long as you keep the area wet and you cover the whole area a little area at a time.

I usually try to follow the way a car is painted. Clay it with up and down motion and not in a buffing like pattern. Just make sure you do a 2X2 section at a time and keep the clay surface clean.
