Paint diaster Cruiser

This PT Cruiser had it all... swirls, scratches, road dirt, tar, you name it, sadly the finish was neglected badly. as you can see in the pics, the finish neededsome help. after claying and using a solvent to remove the tar, I started my trusty cyclo buffer and a cutting pad and my cleaner polish. I could not believe my eyes how well it cleaned it up. this shows how you can attain different results just by going to a machine. the owner thought I switched cars on him, Gary

Let me point out that some PTs have to live on the mean streets of the city. Trees drop sap on them, and birds drop, well, droppings on them, they get covered with dust and then rained on and left to dry in the sun. Winter is spent splashing thru slush and road salt.
Parking lots result in dings their sides, and parallel parking scars the bumpers and scrapes the fenders.

They are lucky if they get an automatic car wash once every couple of months, and as the brushes grind dirt into the paint, they dream of a trip to a detailer.

I'll admit that my Wee Beastie looks a lot like the 'before' picture. One of these days I may have the time and/or $ for a detailing, but for now the most I can do is opt for the Deluxe Super Wash.

A little soap and water never hurts between major cleanings.

DO it! I read on forums about clay bar and now I'm a believer!
Wash, then keep clay bar moist (I dip in car wash bucket) and keep it moving, not a lot of pressure. When you feel bar glide with no resistance, that area's done. Wash again, then polish. You'll find it's worth it![?]
