Default Detail work. check list

Certificate of Completion

Here is a list of the work I perform and a copy of the documentation every owner gets when I detail a car, thought it might come in handy for anyone considering getting a professional detail.
On this date the following work was performed by Perfect Auto Finish
Inspection of car
Engine cleaned and dressed
Hand washed (two bucket method)
Chemical removal of tar, overspray, road paint if needed
Hand washed again
Clayed (all paint, glass, wheels)
Washed again
Deep cleaner polish applied to finish
Inspection for deeper paint blemishes and scratches
Correction of these imperfections using proper machine buffer and compound
Med-light cut used with proper machine buffer to bring back luster from compounding
Pure polish applied to bring back shine
*last three steps are used only if finish is in poor condition
Final application of finish, paint sealed

Tires are dressed, same with wheel wells
Wheels polished
Detail brush used to remove any residue in-between molding trim
Chrome polished
Tail pipes cleaned, under carriage cleaned, grill front and tail lights sealed
Final inspection of exterior

Interior
Mats removed/vacuumed and extracted
Interior and trunk vacuumed
Forced air used to blow contaminants from under front seats, side door panels, dash, console, side compartments, trim and other areas dust can hide
Head liner cleaned is necessary
Vents cleaned with Q-tips
Dash, door panels, all plastic, vinyl and trim cleaned and dressed
Using a detail brush, all intricate areas are cleaned, console, gauges, and other controls
Seats cleaned and conditioned
Windows cleaned
Rubber door seals lubed with dressing
Door jams cleaned and sealed
Foot pedals cleaned
Carpet second vacuum, then extracted
Wood veneer cleaned and sealed

You must be a busy boy. How many people do you have working for you?

Sheesh! With all of that effort, you could ask for $500 and probably get it! [?]

Gary,

Do you own a car wash or is your business just for detailing cars?
