Sounds interesting..
Didn't realise the tree sap could be permanent I guess it's where resin/varnish comes from |

Actually I find that plain old cold water and a sponge take off the sap from my elm tree better than warm water. Warm water seems to turn the sap into a syrup and then just spreads around.
