Default Anyone replaced the lock knobs?

I'm about to start doing cosmetic stuff to my cruiser (nothing big), and was curious...I want to add these:

Anyone have any experience chaging these out? They seem like just simple screw-on/screw off type, but anything I should know?

I put the skulls in the holes where the rear headrests sit. Now I can see out the whole back window without the headrests blocking out about half the window. On the 2001 models, the rear headrests were BIG! Chrysler changed them to smaller headrests in 2002.

Yes, the door knobs just screw out but you have to do a little work of pulling up while unscrewing.

Yes, I bought chrome dice lock pins and they are great! No problems. Go for it. Just save the original lock pins in your glove compartment.

You may get rattling with the ones you show - looks like their bases are smaller diameter than stock. If they are, go to home depot, etc, and get electrical grommets - get an assortment, but I think it's 3/8" you want, and fit them into the holes for the lock pins. If the rubber grabs too much, hit the pins with a shot of silicone spray.
Also - I found on both my '02 and '05 I had to use pliers to loosen the original lock pins - once started, I could unscrew the rest by hand.

What Don said. They screw off, but you need to apply a bit of force pulling up to get the old ones out after you unscrew 'em.

mine came of no problem, and yea yours are definitely thinner than the stock ones. i got black dick door pins and pretty much just wrapped black electrical tape around it very carefully and now they fit perfect.

How about a few more pics of your ride?

I would like some inspiration.

Van,

Each time someone submits a post, it you look up on the top right part of that post, you'll see (in blue letters) that persons screen name with the word "gallery", as in my case CREWZIN's Gallery". If the person added photos of his/her ride to the gallery you'll be taken to it. In my case there's three pages of photo's of my PT. You'll also see where I entered a contest that was running on this forum to upload as many photos as you could, so if you click on the photo on the left hand side of the gallery titled "PT Gallery Contest" you'll see the 100 photo's that I entered for the contest.
