Question Any cure for faded paint?

I want to shave the badges on my PT but I'm worried that after I remove them, the paint underneath will be a different color. Is there any product that can be used to make it less visible if this is the case?

thx

Paint fading is not much of a problem any more with base coat / clear paint systems.

I had an 89 Shelby Daytona that was 10 years old and the laser stripe that separated the silver on the ground effects and the blue of the rest of the body was peeling at the edges. I removed all the stripes off the car and gave it a good polishing and there was no difference in the color.

Yes, that is true, new 3 stage paint resists fading much better than the old 2 stage. You should not have a problem after a little polishing.

Hi Megalon,
I agree with ktraver97ss you shouldn't have any problem after little polishing.

I removed the turbo letters from mine when it was only a year old, no amount of polishing has made it go away, you can still read it when the light is just right

Go get some of this stuff, use a buffer, and your paint will look just like new. Great stuff. "3M Perfect-it II" "Foam polishing pad glaze - dark" 32 fl oz # 05996
Don't know if it can be used on white paint?

You will probably have to go to an auto paint store.
