Hey Cyclone,
Yep, I know what you mean! It seems to be one of those inherent problems with the PT that a lot of us seem to have! To get rid of the oils, and residue, try a 50/50 mix of water, and rubbing alcohol! Then use a good Polishing Compound like Meguiar's Scratch-X followed by Glaze, and Wax, and they should go away. If you have a Rotary Buffer, I ran over mine with a Lamb wool cutting wheel at 1400 RPM, and it worked great, but if not, it can be done by hand with good results as well! It is just faster, and easier with a buffer, and works a bit better as you can heat the material up as your working on it! One thing I do recommend doing though is to throw a quick coat of wax, or sealant on them about once a month, as they do seem to deteriorate pretty quickly if you don't stay on top of them!
