Exclamation Guide to Detailing Part 1: Introduction

Hello Everyone,

Professional Automotive Detailing is not all that hard. Its not rocket science, and despite what some Professionals might want you to believe, their is no good reason why you cannot achieve professional results on your own, and without having to spend $300.00 in the process! Like with most things I have found in life, the more effort you put into the job, the better the end result will be!

With this said I would like to walk you through the Detailing Process from start to finish. Over the next few days, I will cover each step of the process in complete detail as it is performed in a high end production detail shop. I will be using Meguiar's Car Care Products as much as possible for this presentation due to their low cost, availability, and ease of use. I will provide you with a complete recommended product list, including chemicals, tools, brushes, and other related items to complete the process, as well as cost, and a link of where to find everything you will need at the end of this guide.

I will cover some of the basics on how to perform high speed buffing, wet sanding, cleaning convertible tops, and a few more tricks, and tips I have learned throughout my professional career. If you follow the steps in this guide as directed, their is no reason why you should not be able to perform a complete show quality detail on your own, and at a fraction of the cost!

So, if you are ready, then lets get started! Please proceed to my post on Part 1 Vehicle Evaluation:

I hope you enjoy my Tutorial's, and thank you very much for reading my Guide to Automotive Detailing! Till next time, take it easy, and we will see you a little further down the road!

Crewzin:
Can this be posted as a "Sticky". I think this is great info that all should be able to "Tap" into.
