Hey BDOG,
The Product you are talking about is actually just a mild Polishing Compound. What it does is break down a microscopic layer of dead paint, which will hide some of the damage. Meguiar's Scratch X, or Meguiar's, or 3M Fine Cut Compound will work equally as well!
