I just did a shampoo job on the grey cloth front seats on my 07 TC and used Blue Coral Spray Upholstry Cleaner. (Autozone/PepBoyz/Kragen/Oreilly's)
I first pretreated the spots with the spray foam and worked the foam in to the areas with a 4 in nylon bristle hand brush using normal pressure. Wiped with a damp cloth towel and then sprayed the whole seat and did the same cleaning using a hand brush with a pattern that went with and then across the grain to lift the dirt and foam. When I was done I rinsed the brush and went over it again with a second treatment. Wiped with a damp cloth and then used an absorbent Shamwow to suck up the residual cleaning foam and when dry vacuumed with a floor nozzle (6 in wide pattern). I had both coffee and soda on my seat due to a passenger who is a pig. (Thanks Chuck you dip). Results were all the spots came out. Ypu shoudl do the entire seat so if there is a slight color or tone shift when it drys the whole seat will match. Now I remember that some years were treated with a special fabric agent but I cannot remember which years. I will do a treatment of Scotchgard after they dry for 48 hours in an attempt to "Chuckproof" the seats.[ Hope this helped. QUOTE=Cathy06PT;240378]I have 2 stains on my passenger seat and can't get them out...Other then professional detailing, what's the best way to clean the canvas seats because some aftermarket products leave worse stains on the canvas material then what was already there! Cathy,
I agree on the same general treatment as the best results I've had on soonercruiser's cloth seats. Even a leaky pen in the pocket once. Use a strong spot remover; rub it out with a damp clean cloth; that may still leave the faint spot, or a ring mark. Then once dry (as in treating regular water spots) I spray with a rug & upholstery cleaner (can be brushed in); let dry; vacuum; and follow up with a spot carpet cleaner, then damp cloth scrub. That has gotten out the worst stains.

My wife has a spray bottle of Spot Shot carpet cleaner...I've used it before and it seems to work good for me.

I'd like to "smack" the Chamwow guy too!
![]() *To avoid the "Pinto Pony" look, I use a piece or two of cardboard to section off where I spray... And, when using a spray carpet cleaner...always spray a whole "section". That will help mask any differences in color or brightness. i.e. bright spots.

I heard that soap will set the stain...you might want to try alcohol. I just cleaned my mom's canvas seats in her car...and the stains came right off with just some light dabbing. YOu could also check this thread out...he is a plethora of info: Hello from the Candyman:
