Default Yellow/Scratched headlights

Mequiar's has come out with a kit for your headlights.

Hey Crewzin, Thank you for posting this one. I had heard something about it but hadn't seen anything on it yet. Well, I reon chalk another one up for the boys over at Meguiar's!

I'll try to see if I can get them to shoot me over a kit to try out and I will give you guys a full report on the stuff. I'll let you guys know.

Or the crytal view stuff at wal-mart works wonders too.. A lot of crewbies have used this with really good results.. It came out before the Mequiars stuff. Who's is better I don't know.

Crystal View The Best Auto Headlight Restorer Defogger Cleaner

I will probably cleaning mine up this summer, two washington winters and mine are getting yucky.. Its gotta be the constant rain, road grime, de-icer and snow that does the lights in.. In LA this kind of grime film just doesn't happen with regular wash/wax cycles..

My personal thanks to veteran and novice crewbies that have offered information and how-to's they have been instrumental in taking LiquidPT from modded car to stock to live a more quiet and sedate life.

Wowza, this looks like its just plastx and a drill mounted buffer? I've been spending $20 on the permatex wet sanding headlight kits and killing an afternoon a year for this.

Cleaning mine up is on my list but I've got to get the alternator fixed first!

Hey their Taggert_LOA ,

Thank you for posting on this one! I was going to try to Demo it for you guys, but just never got that far as of yet.

I hate to say it as well, but I kinda had a feeling this one felt a bit like it was going to be a bit more of a Consumer Product verses a more of a Professional Use Product. Oh well

I recon it still will do a fine job of lightly Oxidized Lights that might require a little less effort to perfect.

I will try to do a good write up on this one in the near future here covering how I do it to it.

Again, thank you for posting on this, and I'll catch you later.

A bodyshop used some polish and a high speed polisher to clean up our 2002. They look like new now!

I had used rubbing & polishing compound, but it didn't do the job. Yesterday I wet sanded with #500 emery paper followed by # 600 emery, then buffed using an electric drill and buffing pads I got at Pep Boys. I applied polishing compound to the dampened pads (2 1/2" dia) and buffed away. After the buffing I applied wax, and it looked real good. I don't think there is any way to get away from elbow grease on this job.
