Smile Next little Project I am currently working on:

Hey Everyone,

Well, the Doctors are still poking around a bit, and doing their things, but for the most part their spinal nerve block is working pretty well and has even allowed me to almost completely get off all the Med's and I am finally emerging from the proverbial fog brought on by heavy pain killers.

So now, its time to think about the future. I have been thinking about this for a very, very long time now, and though I am no longer fully capable of handling the physical side of things like I really wish I could, it doesn't mean I can't hire and train some good labor to do what I can't, and then run the Business side of things, and hopefully get back into doing what I have always big time loved the most!

So I have dusted off all my old Business Plan, and all related paperwork from my old Detail Shop in San Diego, and am almost done with a major update, and a little tweaking here and their, for today's market, already got a line on all new state of the art equipment, Chemicals, and so on, and have already secured a couple of large Dealerships to fill up a good Shop with a few vehicles from day one, on top of my ever growing list of friends who own ultra cool Show Car's which I am planning to clean up and keep a small rotation of cool cars to keep things interesting around the Shop for my clientele.

This is a culmination of 12 years worth of planning, and dreaming down to the last Detail to do this, and make it all work correctly. What can I say, Detailing is in my blood.

I am still a couple months away from putting it all together, but things seem to be moving along little by little.

Anyways, here is the Vacant prime 5000 SQFT Building which is at the top of my list so far for housing my full service Detail Center so far. It used to be an accessories Shop once upon a time, but the guy evidently went under due to financial problems. The cool thing is it is right off the main drag through our fair City, so exposure is excellent! Anyways, here are the pic's

My space would extend all the way to the line where the new paint ends right around where the orange side door is located. Its got a nice sized showroom where I intend on doing some retail of my own chemicals, as well as a couple other well known name brands, and a good sized, unobstructed work area all set to rule the Detailing Industry out here in the Inland Empire of So-Cal for sure!

And the name for this new Venture....

I will be sure to post some more pic's as I make progress.

You Guys all go eazy, and I will catch ya later.

Good going Candyman. I hope for your sake that the previous business had a good rep as that is what some people are going to look at.

Smile Re: Next little Project I am currently working on:

Hey Everyone,

Sorry I haven't been around in a while. I have been working big time on trying to put my shop together. I have hit a bit of a wall at the moment, and am trying to develop a better solution but it is taking a bit to figure out and might potentially slow my project up a bit though I am hoping not.

The EPA has very strict regulations regarding waste water management when it comes to washing cars on a commercial basis which is completely understandable. It requires a specialized drain which has an oil/water seperator, and filtration system in place not so much to capture chemicals used in cleaning as all the chemicals I will be using are all bio-degradable, but rather any and all residue that is cleaned from the engine compartment, and brake dust off the wheels, etc, is all toxic and must be recaptured seperated, and disposed of in an environmentally safe method. Once the toxins are separated, and filtered, then the water is drained directly into the Sanitary Sewer System. If this type of drainage system were not in place, the waste water may potentially be discharged directly to a Storm Drain where unlike the Sanitary Sewer, the water would be discharged directly into our Natural Water Resources contaminating our Lakes, and Oceans, and putting us in direct violation of Federal EPA Regulations.

With this said, I need to install a drain system in order to do Detailing on a commercial level which would require having to have a contractor come in, tear up the concrete floor in the shop and install the system which all of the Property Owners so far are heavily against this kind of alterations at this time. The best alternative I am working on doesn't quite exist for what I would be using it for so it is a work in progress at the moment.

The plan would be to fabricate a raised wash pad that would essentially be an 8" high platform that you would drive up onto with expanded metal on top. You would wash the car, and all water, soap, and so forth would fall to basically a 16' wide x 24' deep x 8" tall water storage tank. At one end, a huge Va Motor would suck the water out, and pump it through an above ground separation and filtration system where it would in theory recycle the water to a reusable state, and then pump it back to a spray nozzle as a closed loop system. The system would utilize hot water only, as well as have a water softener in line to gain maximum efficiency out of the least amount of water consumption possible. Once put together, it would be one of the best, most environmentally efficient, machines for washing a car, available anywhere in the world, and would also use the very least amount of water usage possible at a maximum of 100 gallons of recycled water used per up to six vehicles verses 400 gallons average usage by someone washing their vehicle in their driveway. Then after reusing my recycled water for a full day, it would then be discharged to a Sanitary Sewer after having been purified, and separated to basically drinking water standards, where it will be directed bck to the water treatment plant and then re-enter the City water supply.

The concept is not all that hard. The Filtration, and separator's do exist to assemble a system to reclaim and recycle water, but nothing exists for this specific type of application so this unit would have to be custom built to make it work correctly for what we need which is alright, but we are talking some money to develop, and put this end of it together. And last but not least, the wash pad I need does not exist, and would also have to be fabricated from scratch.

I already have enough knowledge to put it together, and make one really ultra trick wash system which in theory could be produced and sold worldwide as it would be the only type of system of its kind, and it is no where near the cost of putting together one of those big $1,000,000+ nice full service car washes around town, but still would require somewhere in the neighborhood of $200,000 to build when it is all said and done.

So now I am back to square one at the moment trying to figure out how to finance, or find an investor who could help me develop the technology and then maybe look into Patton my design and selling the systems on the open market. Its extremely difficult to get an SBA Loan these days especially when the funding is to build a new one off piece of equipment, which leaves investors as the more likely choice which are going to be very hard to find someone willing to help out with this at the moment.

Everything else is no big deal. In fact I will have several brand new high tech Detailing tools to create one serious job on anyone's ride, including a brand new type of OZone de-ionization and particle reversal machine which is designed to completely neutralize, and remove any odor in the vehicle including years of heavy cigarette, and cigar smoke which is extremely difficult to remove completely without a trace.

With that, as and much more cool stuff in my Shop, as well as guaranteed day one work from all of the Dealerships in town, we good to go, and should be very successful once up and running minus the wash rack project. Now its just a matter of finding a way to work out getting the funding, and go from their. Anybody got a rich reletive who want's to maybe invest in the future of Car Washing Technology? Hahahaha.

At any rate, I will keep on working on things, and see where the road takes me.

You guys go easy, thank you all for your support and kind words here, and I will catch ya later.
