Where to use cheap wax

I wish I had a nickel for every bottle of product I used once and is sitting on my shelf. I thought I would share with you where I have found a place in my shop now for cleaner wax. As you know the first word "cleaner" means just that. It has more abrasives in it than protection. Under the hood area , and side area which is painted along side of the engine is perfect for using a cleaner wax. Unless your engine looks like Crewzins (which is perfect all the time)it does get subjected to the dirt, and grime from the engine components. By cleaning this area on a regular basis with soap and water, and giving it a cleaner wax application, it will look better longer. It has enough abrasives to clean, and just enough protection to seal out most dirt. the key word here is regular maintenance. Gary

Just cause I'm a nut on keeping the cars clean, no reason to rub it in.[|)] I have a couple dozen different waxes and polishes that I picked up through the years. Once in awhile I'll pick one up and see what it does on the front end just to compare it to others. I keep a lot of wax on the front because it takes the worst of the debris but I still pick up tiny chips anyway. On my long trips up north (got another one coming up in two weeks) I put the front end bra to help protect it on the highway. A good coat of the off-brand polish/wax goes on before the bra is fitted.

Crewzin, you are a perfect example of what I constantly talk about in my detailing clinics. regular maintenence is the best kind. I respect you for that. I know many others here are meticulous about their car as well. I'm acually embarrassed right now, my car is the worst example of how a car should look, I have been detailing everyone elses car, no time for mine. But to be honest, this group is the exception to what I see coming in for detail work. Most cars I see are out of control. Then people think you can take a magic wand and wave it over the car and walla! its new again. we all know that is not the case. So in my business, and what I do for my cruiser family here is just post simple tips that can make it easier to keep your cars in good shape. It is up to you to do the work, p.s. Great Idea [?] There's a detailing place that closed down (about 10 years ago) that's just begging to be taken over by the right company. You could branch out and move on down here to the sunshine state and take it over. [8D]
