When debadgeing the rear hatch, I was a little too rough with the paint and now I have small scratch marks above of my new 'turbo' badge. What is the best product that I can use to repair this? Any help will be appreciated.

Hopefully Gary (TurbomanGT) will see your question and come to the rescue. If it's only scratched on the clearcoat, there should be a couple of ways to hide/cover it. Gary will kill me for this...but I clean the area really well, then use a very small amount of polishing compound (gently). Then MeQuiar's swirl remover, and a coat of wax. If it's really a light scratch, sometimes the swirl remover gets rid of it by itself.

You could try the Lanka Wet Sand 2000 Kit for repairing small scratches in the clear coat.
http://www.langka.com/newsite/index2.html There are several other types of clear coat scratch removers available, perhaps Gary can give advice on this.

YOu guys should post this in the detail section / I just happened to stubble on it. Crewzin in on the right track. clean the area, although the term polishing and compound covers a huge assortment of products. go with a cleaner, Mine, P21S/ Meguiars any of them will do, Mine is in the middle in terms of aggressiveness. I would not wet sand, way too risky. I don't even like to wet sand, so easy to cut through the clear. after you paint clean, the swirl remover will "fill in" the scratch for a while. But after a few washes it may return. Thats why if its through the clear, buffing by a pro might be needed. Its hard to say without seeing it. But try the wash/paint clean/ polish and seal route first. let us know how it looks. Gary
