I mentioned this in another thread, but that was before i realized that you had this section.
When debadgeing the rear hatch, I was a little too rough with the paint and now I have small scratch marks above of my new 'turbo' badge. There is also a mark where the turbo badges used to be, they are not scratches, just slight discolorations that you can see in different angles of light. What is the best product that I can use to repair this? Any help will be appreciated. |

I see is Punch likes Scratch X. Anyone have any comparisons of this to 3m Swirl mark remover? I'm guessing Mr. B's marks from debadging are similar to my carwash swirls[B)]. Will either of these work on these Thanks detail guru's[?]

When using any product on your finish to attempt to repair/correct always go with the "less is best" mentality. You can always kick it up a notch, but once you have gone too aggesive its too late. I would start with a paint cleaner first, they are designed to remove fine surface imperfections. Ones that some to mind in order of abrasives are Meguiars (most aggressive) Perfect Auto Finish (less aggressive) and P21S (the least aggressive) Once you have used the cleaner, follow up with a hand polish of your choice, then protect. (wax or seal)
