Default Kiss-Cote

Gary/All,

Came across this product (http://www.kiss-cote.com/) doing some research. Has anyone ever hear of it or used it? Seems really interesting in the product description.

Somewhat pricey, though ($175 for 8 gms; covers 2,000-4,000 sq. ft.). But based upon the coverage, it is not that bad.

Maybe I will buy some and try it on my wife's Ford Probe and see what it does.

Yeah, well "somewhat pricey" was maybe an understatement. But it does cover a lot of area. Even so, it would be placed in the safe or safety deposit box when not being used.

But when one considers what toys we buy for our Cruisers, maybe the price is not so bad.

AZPT, nice pics of your car/ Judging from your feedback, you seem satisfied with how my sealant performs and looks. Now tell me, why would you be lured into spending so much more money on something else? I know why (because I have been there) we all are searching for the WONDER product, so many companies are making claims that their product it will last a year or more, don't believe it. Tephlon was one of the "HYPE' products that also misguided consumers not long ago, untill The maker of tephlon, (DuPont) publicly made a statement that the curing temp in tephlon is at 800 degrees. So, unless you are detailing with a flame thrower, it is useless. I was caught in that craze also, Now since I do this as a living, I have figured out how to filter through the merchandising tradigy and focus on the chemical reality of what works and why. People have told me that if I double the price of my sealant I would sell more. Does that make sense, ? it may not, but people still think that the more they spend the better they get. why do you think Zymol makes car wax (and sells it) from $300-$1,200 for 8oz.? sorry I got off track, but this works me up. I looked at the web site, I have not heard of the company but from what I read, it sounds much like the tephlon craze. spend your money wisely, stick with what works, Gary

I saw this product mentioned last week on TechTV, The ScreenSavers. I agree that it looked interesting. A guy had coated a handful of sand with the stuff and water could not penetrate it. He claimed he uses it on his boat and it drag and kept the baracles from attaching. All that aside, I'm not going to be the first one to put it on my PT. I am putting a second coat of Gary's sealer on tomorrow!!

If it really does what it says it does then it would be worth it. I'll volunteer to try it out if someone will send me some.
