How do you fix the damage down to your clearcoat if there is any?

Depends on the damage. Very shallow damage can be filled/hidden by wax. Some may need a little spot polish to round out the damage so it is less visible and blends in when waxed. You do not really "fix" damage, only conceal it.
Except nasty chips, then you have to repaint them. I do not know precisely how to do that in practice yet. |
