Default Egg

This guy egged the car next to me. Obviously egg splattered from the car they were egging to my car. I called the guy up and made him come by and clean my car, he had napkins and water. Since he was very apologetic, I was nice and let him leave after he got most of it off. I am getting up early tomorrow to clean my car... Are there any particular ways on getting it off so that it surely doesnt damage the paint? or will normal washing do the trick?

I've become a claybar fan. Keep the clay bar well moistened, and when it glides over a spot, you're done. Re-wax/polish the area.

I wouldn't worry about using the claybar, although it will work, you can probably get away with just a good heavy washing, and a heavy waxing on the area of "collateral damage". Good Luck, might want to invest in a car cover if the egging continues. :-)

WARNING!!!! do not look lightly on the effects of potenial damage EGG can cause. Acidic components in it, make it a HIGH risk factor in "Ecthing" your clear coat. I have seen what Eggs can do, do not wait a single second to get rid of it. Overnight can even be too late. Once it has broken through the clear, its body shop time, and time to repaint. Gary
