Default Zymol

Just wanted to give ya'll the heads up on Zymol. It's a wax that I've seen the best results from. I've used Meguairs, Turtle Wax, and other popular waxes, but Zymol seems to do the trick for me. I'm starting to sound like an infomercial I know. Zymol is good stuff though, it goes on quick, dries fast, and comes off moderately easy (you need some elbow grease to get it all off. Once you've buffed it off it makes a hell of a difference. It darkens the paint giving the PT a great shine and it endures several washings. It's only downfall is the price. For about 25 bucks a bottle, you've got a pretty expensive bottle of wax. It's worth every penny.
But wait, if you order now, we'll send you this bamboo steamer...

Gary says...

I want everyone to post everything about whatever products you like, dislike, or have questions about. I do have a select group of followers already with my product line, but I don't want this section to revolve around me or my products.
Not to worry, this forum is for any and all information/discussion concerning car care and car care products regardless of product brand. It is for an open discussion of likes/dislikes, personel preferences, etc., as Gary said, not for his products alone.

ChromeCruiser, thanks for posting on Zymol, this is worth commenting on. First, like the group says, although I sell my own products, I never try to change anyone if they are happy with what they are doing. I only offer I choice to people, in my opinion, a better one. Since I teach detailing and focus on education the Zymol subject has come up many times in my clinics and here are some facts you should know. First of all, Zymol is a wax (although they advertise their high end estate products as "glazes") glaze in the true definition is similar to a polish, by that it offers no protection, so I think they just like how it sounds, but it is confusing to those in the profession. Next> and this is a fact proven by my peers, "the best wax under the best conditions will last 30 days) I will add to that on driver cars, not ones sitting in storage. With that said, why would anyone wax their car? that has been discussed at length as well on pro forums. I think it is mainly due to lack of knowledge on the advances made on synthetics paint sealants of today, and wax is a more common, user friendly term. The truth is Paint sealants can be easier to use than some waxes. Here is what I don't understand, maybe someone can explain this to me. I went to zymol's web site and did a cut and paste on their prices on esate Glazes (waxes) I have them listed in most expensive to least, Range is from $1,300 - $59.00. Here is the kicker, people are buying this stuff, not Jay Leno, or David Letterman, average folks thinking they are getting the best on the market, in reality they are making someone extemely rich. Next, I did some research on this one. Have you seen the cleaner wax Zymol sells for $9.00 at Walmart? Blue bottle? you may wonder how can this be? well, if you look at the address on the back of the bottle, it is Turtle Wax Headquarters, in Chicago. Like I said, education is the best lane to wisdom. Here is the Price list from their web site.

$1,300 for car wax!!!! I could get my car professionally detailed every couple of months for that!! [xx(]

Just got my shipment from Gary, now I need a couple of warm dry days to wash and polish so I can compare to my usual Maguiar's shine.

I'm putting together a super duper paint sealant that will last for 6 years! you don't even have to wash your car ever again! price is only $20 more than the top end Zymol wax. taking orders now at $1,367.00 a bottle. NOT! this was a false fantasy ad in order just to show you that had this been reality, their WOULD be people ordering it. Why? I wish I knew. All I know is I have to sleep with myself at night. I bet many people who read my post never knew a car wax was being marketed for over $1,000 for 8 ounces.
