Default Removing badges?

I'd like to remove all the emblems from the Cruiser.

Should I take it to a body shop or do you guys have a method that will ensure I won't need new paint?

I searched the forums, but came up empty.

Thanks.

amazingarthur, you should be able to do it yourself. Use a lubricate like quick detailer and some dental floss. Spray the detailer on and around the emblem, work the dental floss behind the emblem in a sawing motion. It may help to heat the emblems up with a hair dryer before starting.

The hood emblem is attached with a couple of screws as well as 3M tape.

I used a hair dryer, dental floss and a tar and bug remover to remove the glue residue. The tar and bug remover had a polish in it so where I took the emblems off got polished, too. When I was through it looked like the emblems were never there. I didn't take off the hood emblem.

cool!! that would probably look strange without it on a stock hood you would also have a few holes to fill

I used standard crisco oil to take my dealer badge off. Just let it sook the sticky crap off. Wipe it with an ultra soft cotton towel or a microfiber.
