Have you ever used Production Auto Care products? A friend supplies local dealers and detail shops with this line. According to him all of his products are better than anyone elses. It is frustrating to try and talk to him because although he knows his product he knows absolutely nothing about his competition. I use his car wash because I can get from him in gallon size.
Just curious to see if you have heard of this line of products. |

Hi MCRUZ, what area do you live in? I have not heard of them, to be honest, their are so many professional chemical companies around that specialize in any geographic area, its hard to keep tabs on them all. I just came back from a seminar that caters to pro's and dealers, and it was mind boggling how many different types of products they carry. Are you ready for this? count 65 tires dressings, Yes I said 65. The guy says that the catalog he gave us, (which was printed 6 months ago, is already outdated.) I have a hard time with this, do any of us in the business need this many products? the correct answer is no, but they still make them, and people still buy them. As far as his statement, HIS ARE BETTER THEN ANYONE ELSE'S.That is a claim that every company makes. I'm sure his stuff is better than retail products, but it's hard to compare high end products unless you are comparing apples to apples. The different components in say a polish for example vary greatly. I'm sure you can't go wrong with the car wash soap. Be warned though if you get something else from him, professional products can require some skill depending on what it is. Ask him if he has ever heard of Auto Magic, Ardex, or Car-Brite, that is his competition. Gary

Thanks Gary I will ask him about the competition you mentioned.
I know what you mean about the huge variety of detailing products, I think a lot of people are influenced more by packaging than anything else. I used to spend a lot of time on a detailing site when I had my first Cruiser and was able to get a lot feedback on a large variety of products, tried most of them and have a garage full of partially used polishes, waxes, quick detailers, clay bars, etc. As spring approaches I will try some of your products.
